Sleep is not a luxury. It's maintenance.
A small, UK-based sleep brand built around one idea: fix the two things that quietly ruin most nights, light and restricted breathing, and the rest tends to follow.
Our Story
Why we built this
Lumo started with a simple frustration: years of waking up tired despite spending eight hours in bed. The problem was never time spent asleep, it was the quality of it.
We built a small, focused range that addresses the two biggest disruptors of deep sleep: light and restricted breathing. Designed in the UK, tested by real sleepers.
"We didn't want to build another sleep gadget that needs charging or an app. Three simple, well-made products that quietly do their job every night, no subscription required, no learning curve."
Is This For You
Built for a few specific kinds of nights
Lumo isn't for everyone, and it doesn't try to be. It's for people who recognise one of these.
Side sleepers
Standard sleep masks press into the eye socket the moment you turn. The contoured design is built specifically to sit clear of your eyelids in any position.
Shop the Sleep Mask →Mouth breathers & light snorers
If you wake up with a dry mouth, or a partner mentions the snoring, nasal breathing at night is often what's changed, not a separate problem.
Shop Mouth & Nose Tape →Frequent travellers & shift workers
Irregular light exposure is one of the most disruptive things to a sleep schedule. A total-blackout routine matters more, not less, when your hours change.
Shop the System →Performance-focused
Recovery happens in deep sleep, not in the gym. If you train seriously, protecting the darkest, least interrupted stretch of the night is part of the programme, not an afterthought.
Shop the System →New parents
You can't control when sleep happens right now, but you can control its quality when it does. Total blackout for the odd hour, whatever time it falls at, still counts.

What We Believe
Fewer products, used properly
Most sleep problems don't need a new gadget, they need the two or three things that are actually working against you removed. That's the whole premise: identify what's disrupting a night's sleep, then build the smallest possible product that fixes it properly.
Every material is chosen for skin safety over cost. Nothing here is designed to be replaced next year.
The Reasoning
Why light and breath, specifically
No invented studies here, just the two mechanisms our whole range is built around.
Darkness and your body clock
Your eyes are how your brain knows what time it is. Light reaching them at night is read as a signal to stay alert, which is why a partly-lit room can leave you feeling like you never fully dropped off. Removing light doesn't add anything new, it just stops working against the process your body already runs every night on its own.
Nasal breathing and airway strain
Breathing through your mouth overnight skips the filtering and humidifying your nose is built to do, which is part of why it's linked to a drier throat, restlessness, and snoring. Keeping the airway nasal for the whole night is a small mechanical change, not a treatment, but it's one that many people notice immediately.
This is general sleep physiology, not a claim about what Lumo products will do for you specifically. We don't diagnose or treat anything, and if you have a medical condition affecting your breathing or sleep, speak to your GP before changing your routine.
